My review on Nature's Rite: Muscle Honey - Instant Pain Relief!

I work out regularly, sit at a desk all day, and am young with a worn out feeling body at times.  For life’s normal pains and strains, I:

-          Go to the Chiropractor regularly

-          Have been a regular massage client

-          Have lived off of Robaxacet on and off to relieve pain

-          Take a lot of baths (and in turn, make my own bath bombs)

-          Practice Yoga

These methods don’t always work, leading to the dreaded stinky Muscle Relief Gel that smells like strong grossness. It works, but is WAY too obvious to others (aka scent), therefore is a nighttime relief vs daytime assistance.

Nature’s Rite Muscle Honey Gel has been a surprisingly useful and relieving sports gel that takes the cooling and almost instant relief effect of stinky gels, but without the smell or obviousness to others that I’m a) in pain, and b) using a pain relief gel.

It’s manufactured in the United States, and full of natural ingredients, such as:

-          Witch Hazel

-          Peppermint Leaf

-          Juniper Berry

-          Willow Bark

-          Ginseng

-          Devil’s Claw

-          Marjoram

-          Arnica Montana

-          Comfrey

These natural ingredients allow for the repair, relief, blood circulation, and lubrication of the joints and tissue, allowing for both a comfortable workout and post workout relief.

I normally use it after a workout or after a long day at work to help ease the excessive pain in my shoulders and neck – and even used it the other day to relieve the pain in my thighs from a killer squat/lunge workout!

Only a little amount of the gel is required for effectiveness – it rubs in quickly, and dries within a minute or so without a greasy or dry residue on the skin.  Within a minute, I can feel the tingly peppermint leaf starting to dig into my muscles, and relief quickly follows!  True Story!

Overall, I was initially surprised at the quick relief that this gel provides, and will definitely keep it as a natural remedy in our home and would recommend Muscle Honey to anyone feeling life’s pains or anyone leading an active lifestyle.

My Lean 180 Weekly Trial Review

As you guys know, I have been Meal Prepping since May 2016, with quite a bit of success.

It is always nice to be able to Level and push for a little bit more in results and overall well being.

Lean 180 is one way to do this.

Included in Your Get Lean Kit:
  • 180 Muscle Mix - A protein shake mix to help lose weight, build muscle, and feel satisfied
  • 180 Burn - a capsule that will help maximize fat burning throughout the entire day.
  • 180 Cleanse - a capsule that helps detox your body
This Kit is to be used for 30 days, and it will:
  • Help curb your appetite
  • Fire up your metabolism
  • Give you energy
  • Nourish your muscles
  • Help you shed pounds

The Weekly Meal Plan:

Wake Up
- Have 2 Lean 180 Burn Capsules with 1 cup of water

- Combine 8oz of low sugar almond milk with 3 Tablespoons of 180 Muscle Mix (protein shake)

- 1 cup of Kashi Go Lean or Fiber One dry Cereal
- 2-3 stalks of Celery
- 2 Cups of ice water

- Salad with unlimited non-starch vegetables plus 2 Tablespoons of Light Balsamic Dressing
- 6oz Lean Meat or Fish
- 1 Cup caffeine Free iced tea

2:30 pm
- 16oz Ice Cold Water

- 1 cup berries & 2 Tablespoons of Light Cool Whip
- 1 Cup Ice Water

6 pm
- 6oz Lean Meat or fish
- 2 cups steamed veggies
- 1 cup Decaf Green Tea

15-30 minutes before bed
- 1 lean 180 Cleanse Capsule with 1 cup of water

Here's my Daily Diary on how I felt during the 7 day trial period:

Monday (Day 1)

I took the 2 Burn Capsules prior to my normal vitamins - apparently it has caffeine in it, but I still required my coffee from Tim's and "wake me up" prescription pills.

Coffee is ok minus cream, so I just had skim milk and stevia in it.

The shake was pretty good - not overbearing in Strawberry taste, but tasty enough to keep my taste buds tantalized.  The aftertaste was pretty generic - chalky health shake feeling in my mouth afterwards.

I washed this down with water and some North African Mint Tea to calm down my throat and body (I feel a cold coming on).

Around 10am, I opted for one of my homemade oatmeal packs - it is healthy, and I know all the ingredients that go into it are clean.

Then my body started to fail me (no fault of Lean 180) - I've been fending off a cold for a few weeks, and it came back to full body soreness, hot flashes, and sore throat by lunch time.

So my healthy kale/broccoli/other healthy veggies salad would have to wait, and the uber unhealthy Tim Hortons Chili prevailed.  Unfortunately, their chili tends to help ward off a full blown cold.

And a Honey Lemon Tea.

And another glass of water after lunch.

Then the Kale salad once I got back to my desk.

More water. More tea.

Then home. And Chiropractor. And Groceries (for meal prep that did not happen on Sunday due to cottage weekend).

This week is soup week due to our looming illnesses, so I made Pho soup with Chicken and no salt with fresh herbs.  It was SO delicious!  And probably not coinciding with the 2 cups of steamed vegetables I should of had.

I did have two more cups of tea and water thereafter to make up for it.

And the first Detox capsule.

Day 2

Up 1 pound. Because I ate so badly yesterday?

The Detox pill says it does not have the same affects as other detoxes...I beg to differ.  My body definitely begs to differ!

At least my milkshake kept me full in the morning.  With more tea and water.

And cold is still looming.

Day 3

Oh my god - this detox is definitely unlike any other detox!  My body!

Day 4

My appetite is pretty much gone. I can barely eat the meal plan required.

The toilet gods hate me.

I even missed the announcement that my Boss was going to another department. I love my boss.

Day 5

Definitely the worst detox ever.  Even worse than that horrible Pine Oil I had to take for 2 months - it smelled like pine needles (and tasted the same) so I had a double shot of Baileys each time to help me both reflect the taste and to help me get over the taste. It was horrible. But its effects weren't like the 180 Cleanse.

Diet has remained the same as recommended (clean eating) thanks to my 21 Day Fix and Beachbody Sunday meal Preps.

I definitely don't feel hungry. Ever.  So the combination of the Burn Capsule, detox Capsule, and Muscle Max Shake definitely have something to do with this.

Day 6

I can't take it anymore, and stop taking both pills - I assume it is the Detox capsule, but it could be the Burn Capsule.

Day 7

I am 3 pounds lighter than I was when I started.  Not bad, considering I could barely eat, detoxed the heck out of my insides, and was sick.

I really liked the fact that the shake definitely filled me up from 7am to my 12pm lunch, it mixed well (no clumps), and tasted yummy without being too sweet.

Eating in-between was tough, but I managed.

The pills were a negative.  They were WAY too effective and had a weird effect on my immune system.

So I would definitely partake in the shake portion again....the pills not so much.

They may be great for others, but for myself, it was worse than all the detoxes I have been on over the last 4 years to treat my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Muscle wise, it helped me gain a bit more momentum with my workouts, but a week is not quite long enough to determine the long term effects.

So for the long term, I will stick with my 5 day Meal Prep Beachbody recipes, Sunday Meal Preps, and my 30 minute Beachbody Workouts (I am not affiliated with BB, but after 2 years, I still feel it's an awesome website and the programs are stellar!).

I Love Scarves!

I LOVE scarves - for a few years, I wore them daily (even in the summer - our office is FREEZING!).

Too cool for work

Now that fall is upon us, it is back to scarf season! Whether at work to keep warm, or out with friends walking downtown, a scarf is a necessary accessory in my closet.

Who better than to help me upgrade my sad scarf collection, but Amazon?

There are a plethora of scarf patterns to choose from, and I opted for the “SF5061751” Blue shawl colour, as I thought it looked like feathers.

It is actually a tropical scene with a palm tree, and yellow with blue and greenish sky. It is quite pretty, despite the pattern misunderstanding.

It is made of a light and airy material, and can be worn as a light shawl, a cover up on the beach down south, or when rolled up slightly – wrap it around your neck in scarf form.

The edges are hemmed evenly, and the material is of decent quality and should last a while before it starts snagging.

Based on the number of different mystery patterns to choose from, and the quality of the material, the price point for these scarves is less than they are in store, thus I highly recommend one or two to freshen up your fall attire!

L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Product Review!

I received four L'Oreal Paris Revitalift face products for review from Influenster recently, and am pleasantly impressed with their overall results!

Revitalift Bright Reveal SPF 30 Daily Lotion

White Goo!

This moisturizer is the perfect complement to the other RevitaLift Products – being that Glycolic Acid is one of the main ingredients – care must be taken to protect my more sensitive skin from burning or being too over exposed to the elements.

The SPF30 is the perfect anti UVA sun beam strength to both protect, but still allow me to get enough natural colour that I do not look like a white ghost while emerging from the dark indoors!

This moisturizing cream is a medium thickness, and one pump from the handy pump bottle is plenty to provide full face and neck coverage.  I rub it in with a circular motion after my normal face cleaning routine, and within a minute, my face is ready to apply my normal foundation and other make up onto. It does not leave my skin feeling sticky or dry, but rather soft and refreshed.

The natural redness  in my cheeks has slightly diminished, and I have been carded twice in the last week as I look 25 years and under!  Not bad for a gal in her late 30s!

My face has not reacted negatively at all to the cream whether on its own or once my regular make up is applied (it can happen – my face has burned from other products with Glycolic acid in them in the past…).

My fine eye and laugh lines look less noticeable, and my ever depending forehead wrinkles have also diminished in appearance.  They are still there, but it is kind of like time has taken them back a notch or two.  I am blaming the retinol within the cream.

So overall, I am happy with the overall results of all the Revitalift facial products, and would recommend them to anyone over 20 years old!

Revitalift Brightening Daily Scrub Cleanser

Cleaning goo!

This scrub will definitely last me forever – I find I just need a small dab of the gel-like substance to provide enough coverage for my entire face and neck.

It has those little pearl things in it (that I though had stopped being used in beauty products recently, but perhaps not!), and smells amazing.  I am normally not a citrus scented gal, but they put enough lemony scent to tantalize my senses in the morning.

I wet my face, and dab a bit of the gel on either side of my face, and rub in circular motions to exfoliate my skin and promote proper circulation.

It rinses off quite easily, and has not irritated my eyes or face in any way both while it is on my face and while being rinsed off.

As a daily use cleanser, it is a bit harsh (yay, Glycolic acid!), but I use it three to four times a week to help keep my skin fresh, clean, and evenly toned.

My face definitely feels alert and cleansed after use!

I have not noticed any reaction while outside during the day, but due to the acid in the product, it makes the skin more sensitive, and it is recommended that you wear a sunscreen on your face to ensure it does not burn.

Revitalift Bright Reveal Peel Pads

The Pads!

These pads are definitely revealing in a multitude of ways!

I use one quilted pad after washing and drying my face at night after a long day of being caked with foundation and other make up products.  I rub it in a circular motion on my face and neck, and grossly enough, the quilted pad still pulls up more dirt and debris that has been missed by my regular washing!

I am in my late 30s, so preventing the spread of fine lines and wrinkles is a daily struggle.  Since I have started using these pads, I have definitely noticed a halt in the wrinkles and lines, especially on my forehead and smile lines.

This is a weird exfoliator, as you don’t feel like you are doing anything more than scrubbing your face with a pad – yet it picks up so much from my face after each use, that it makes me feel fresh and cleaner than normal.

I use this in conjunction with the Brightening Dual Overnight Moisturizer, and the results have been pretty clear and noticeable.  I was carded twice in the last week for looking 25 years old or younger, and it has been some time since that happened.

Apparently skin can be more sensitive to sunlight, but I have not felt any ill effects since implementing it into my beauty regime.

As usual with a lot of mainstream products, there are not really any natural ingredients within the pads, so if this is a concern, this product is not for you.

There are enough pads to last a month, so for a small premium, I feel it is definitely worth it for the results I have seen over the last 3 weeks!

Revitalift Bright Reveal Dual Overnight Moisturizer:

Globby Goo!

This dual overnight moisturizer is definitely an efficient and different idea from other night creams I have used.

It includes both a serum AND cream in separate compartments of the pump container, which both come out simultaneously for even coverage.

Normally I put on a serum and let it dry for a few minutes, then apply my night moisturizer afterwards.  This dual moisturizer takes away this two-step process with one pump!

The serum is light thickness, and the moisturizer is a medium thickness – blending together seamlessly with no mess or dripping.

After cleaning my face and using the Gentle Daily Exfoliating Peel Pads (from the same product line), I rub the cream onto my face and neck in a circular motion – it blends in quickly and easily without leaving any residue.  It dries within a minute or two, leaving my face feeling soft, but not sticky, dry, or too creamy.

The serum is supposed to remove dead skin cells, whereas the cream includes Pro Retinol and Vitamin C, which have noticeably filled in some of my light eye and smile lines, and is working its way on my recently visible forehead lines.

My face has also been less red looking, with a more overall even skin tone.

It does not really include any natural ingredients, so if that is the type of product you prefer, this is not for you.

My Nivea Canada ChickAdvisor Review

I was fortunate enough to be part of the Nivea Must Haves campaign thanks to Chickadvisor this month!

The Must Haves for Nivea are as follows:

Nivea Creme Care All-In-One Facial Cleansing Lotion - $8.99

Caring Formula with skin friendly ingredients cleanses face & eyes thoroughly while protecting skin's natural moisture balance.  For wonderfully clean & soft, kissable skin.

This lotion I was confused about at first.  Day One I decided that I ought to use it all over my body and face.

For my body, this did nothing expect provide additional moisturizing.  I definitely did not feel clean afterwards!

For my face, it blends in well - as always, using circular motions to stimulate circulation.  I leave it on for a minute or so to absorb, hoping that it doesn't drizzle into my eyes in the meantime.

I rub my face while removing the cream, and voila - my face feels moisturized without being greasy, soft, and ready for the day!

It's okay, but I just don't feel clean afterwards...I feel like I have well hydrated skin.  I use this every 3 or 4 days so I can feel clean the other days of the week.

I give this a 4 out of 5 Systic Rating

Nivea Creme Care Facial Cleansing Wipes - $8.99

Gentle formula effectively cleanses skin, removing even waterproof makeup without rubbing, leaving your skin feeling soft & smooth.

These wipes are so handy for anyone on the go!  Whether it be jetsetting around the world, overnight at a hotel, or even camping, the handy factor of these wipes is pretty sweet.

The plastic pouch the wipes are contained within has a flap that opens for wipe dispensing, and closes ok - I have found over the last week the wipes have gone from nice and moist to semi moist, so the closing aspect of the package is not 100% effective.  I would not recommend using these wipes occasionally, but every day so you don't lose the moist factor over time.

Overall, the wipes do a decent job of cleaning my face after a long day at work.  It even cleans off my eye make up without too much scrubbing on my end.

The cloths are relatively smooth, so when I used a second cleaning product afterwards (with a quilted pattern in the wipes), I was still able to remove more make up afterwards, despite the Nivea cloth coming out relatively clean.

I give this a 3 out of 5 Systic Rating

Nivea Creme $7.99-$13.49

Nivea's Original moisturizer for the whole family.  Great for body, face, hands, and even really dry spots like elbows & knees, providing rich protective care & deep nourishment.

This creme is a medium thickness white cream that requires an ample amount to provide full body coverage.

I find it a bit greasy and difficult to rub in, but it is good for my dryer knees and elbows.  The rest of my body literally takes too much elbow grease first thing in the morning, so I'll just stick with the driest parts for this cream.

Thankfully it dries quick enough that I can put on tights or pants on afterwards without stickiness or the clothing residue being left on my body afterwards.

There is no scent to it, so for scent free folk, it's definitely a bonus.

I give this a 3.5 out of 5 Systic Rating

Nivea Protect & Care Anti Perspirant/Deodorant - $3.99

Nivea care for delicate underarm skin.  Provides 48 hour effective yet gentle odour protection with caring ingredients of Nivea Creme.

Meh. I wanted to like this deodorant, but it just did not wow my underarms.

It has a super light scent, and is a solid white stick.  The whiteness has not transferred over to my clothing, which is always a concern with solid sticks.

The Antiperspirant part works - I have use it working outside and hiking, and my sweat stayed away...but after any kind of physical activity, I could smell myself.  After 4 days (thankfully a long weekend), I gave up on it, and it will be my back up antiperspirant for when I need a touch up.  I feel if I can smell myself, that others can smell me more!

My armpits require a special touch, and this is not for me.

I give this a 2 out of 5 Systic Rating.

Nivea Essential Lip Balm - $1.99

Provides 12 hour moisture, leaving your lips sensationally soft & effectively protecting them from drying out.

I have always been pleased with Nivea lip balms in the past, this balm is no different.

It is a clearish balm with a nice large surface - two swoops, and my lips are moisturized and soft vs dry and chappy.

I can apply it in the morning, and it doesn't really require reapplication until mid afternoon.

For my chappy lips, having a long term yet non-sticky lip balm is important, and Nivea meets these criteria!

I give this a 5 out of 5 Systic Rating!

So overall, I'm meh about most of the Nivea Product line...they would be more Wants vs Needs, and even then, perhaps for someone else's skin or beauty regime.

Thank you again Nivea & Chickadvisor for providing these products to me at no cost for my fair and fabulous reviews!

July 2016 Topbox Review

TopBox has been more of a Hit & Miss lately - but I am still wooed by at least 2 or 3 of my monthly samples, so I'm sticking with it.

Plus the joy on Gideon's face when he sees the Topbox Cardboard tube makes it worthwhile. We can both enjoy Topbox in different ways!

July's box includes products from BareMinerals, Revlon Professional, St. Tropez, and Clinique.

Marvelous Moxie Lipstick
Creamy, super-saturated, ultra-pigmented color glides on like butter for full coverage in a rich satin finish  0.12 oz  $23.54  Available at,
Lipsticks are a hit and miss – especially in a more lip gloss format.
I prefer a matte gloss for a) colour, and b) chapped lip prevention.  Husband prefers I wear no lipstick at all due to its normal sticky nature.
Marvelous Moxie’s Lipstick, however, is a pleasant surprise.  It applies smooth and evenly, and actually makes me lips “pop,” creating a fuller, healthier look.
I love the light pink colour – it’s not too pink and looks sort of natural.  Heck, I even kissed Husband this morning and he didn’t complain about me wearing “goop” on my lips (the reason I rarely wear lipstick – kisses are more important than lipstick).
I am able to drink my coffee without leaving residue on my cup, and it lasts about 5 or 6 hours before I feel the need to reapply it.
Overall, I am happy with this lipstick – winner (gagne!)!
Revlon Professional
UniqOne Lotus Hair Treatment
Repair treatment for dry and damaged hair. Smoothing, Regeneration, Color protection, Sun protection, Detangling, Shine and Heat protection.  150 mL  $17.18  Find a professional salon near you at, Trade Secrets & Chatters
I was not 100% sure what this hair treatment was at first, but I use it as a touch up spray after styling

It is a yummy coconut smelling spritz, and the liquid is actually thicker than I originally anticipated, hence brushing after application is a must in order to ensure residue didn’t remain clumped up in my fine hair.

I did try to use it as a detangler, but found my normal detangler was more effective – hence why I pretty much used this to make my hair smell like pretty coconut. It’s the perfect scent for summer, after all!

For my thin hair, I did not feel I reaped benefits from this Lotus Hair Treatment, and more than 2 or 3 spritzes weighed my hair down enough that I had no choice but to wear my hair in a ponytail or braid.

For thicker hair, I am sure it will have better results!

For an instant hint of bronze that illuminates the skin. Gradually builds to create a healthy sunkissed glow for instant skin perfecting coverage to blur imperfections.  200 mL  $39.26  Available at
I have never used a tanning lotion before as I generally go from pasty white to red burn and slather on so much sun screen every hour that I create a cocoon of sun protection.

I did have a nice base this year thanks to cycling, so this tanning cream has come in handy in covering up the pasty whiteness from my wrists to fingers, where my cycling gloves protect me fully from any tanning or sun.

It blends in quite nicely with a small amount in order to create a seamless blend from my arm tan to white hands, making my tan line less noticeable.

Once dried, it does not rub off on my clothing, and I generally only apply it when I know I won't be in a sweaty work out situation afterwards to prevent bleeding into my clothes.

It has no odour, and does not make my skin look fake or orange like some self tanners I have seen.

I don't feel I would go out of my way to apply a tanner once this is done, but I definitely like the fact that it makes my glove line disappear.

Pep-Start™ Eye Cream
A pep rush for eyes. Just 3 seconds to look wide awake, refreshed. Hydrates, brightens, perks you up. Its cool touch and de-puffing tip help keep eyes looking fresh.  0.5 oz  $34.66  Available at,

I am generally exhausted, and my eyes show it more some days than others.

This eye cream helps a little bit, but is not a miracle cream (nothing will make me look totally alert).

It does help take away some of the puffiness and hides the small smile lines at the sides of my eyes (and mouth smile lines too!).

It's a light white cream, and a dab on either side of the eyes provides full coverage underneath and at the side of my eyes.

The container I have should last me for quite some time based on the minimal amount required.

It does not do anything my alternative eye creams do, so at double the price, Clinique has not sold me on their cream.

July's Topbox was a winner, with some products I may not necessarily go out of the way for, but which added a nice touch to my normal beauty regime.

Meal Prepping Lifestyle Continues...

So we are almost 2 months into meal prepping.

And I've actually been exercising less because my bike spokes broke 3 times in a period of a month - twice after a full truing job by Bushtaka - who overtightening the spokes, causing my rim to bend after the first ride, and another broken spoke 4 rides after that.

And because we aren't made of money, the wheel budget means I ordered a new set of wheels ($40 more than just one wheel because they were 50% off and just made more sense) from England.  I can't wait until we get the new wheels installed (hopefully) this weekend.  I am SO itching to bike.

I really have to get back into the Beachbody workout groove - it's hard to get back into when you've been doing a totally different kind of exercise and are feeling a bit blah.

So despite this slump, I've gone down a pant size AND a solid 19 pounds.

19 pounds.

Just by meal prepping.

How crazy is that??

I'm 4 pounds from what I thought was an unattainable weight goal.  So I will go back with my original weight goal that I had at the beginning of my lifestyle change from October 2014.

I feel we didn't eat crappy before this, but meal prepping means portion sizes, no lazy weeknight take out food when I don't feel like cooking, and feeling full all the time thanks to lots of protein.

I am fitting back into old pants that used to be too tight - and my previous sausage legs are actually drowning in material.  Jeans that were not too tight, but flattering are now blowing in the wind and sagging as my caboose and thighs have shrunk.

Husband even commented that I'm getting my thigh gap back again.

These were tight and NOT loose at all at the beginning of May 2016

It's weird.

I've been working out consistently since October 2014 and have never seen such rapid progress.  I was stuck at one weight for months and months before we started food prepping.

I spend time on Pinterest each week looking at new 21 Day Fix and Beachbody meal plan ideas, and put together 4 meals (2 lunches and 2 dinners).  I use one or two meals that we have enjoyed before, and the remainder are new.

So I do get lost in the Pinterest Vortex a lot more often now that I have in the past. It's hard to escape.

My Hard Core Meal Prep ideas are here if you would like to follow.  I do delete recipes once I go through the links that have a multitude of recipes (and I only add the specific recipes we want to or have tried), or ones that just didn't taste good despite following the recipes.

I treat Pinterest like my email and keep it as organized as possible.

Not getting bored and having variety in menus is VERY important to our success, as I need to keep this interesting for longevity.

Honestly, if I could meal prep forever(or until we win the lottery and have a chef), I would.

By following step by step instructions for the first 3-4 weeks, I gained the confidence to just choose our own recipes based on what meat is on sale, or cravings.

I mean. We can have Shepherds Pie, Jambalaya, Shrimp, Fajitas, and more.  It's generally tasty, extremely filling, and obviously doing something for us.

See what we've been eating!

Breakfast does not vary - now we just have a fruit bowl & homemade oatmeal packs (stinky egg at Husband's work is not happening)

Stir Fry

Thai Chicken and Veggies

Veggies, Chicken, Meat loaf, Shepherds Pie

I usually cover this whole table by the end of prep day - this is half the table.

More veggies and Squash

Pasta broccoli chicken casserole, more Meatloaf, More Veggies

Last week we had stuffed peppers, fish, stir fry, lots of veggies.

So you can eat healthy and delicious foods all week long, spend 2-3 hours of your weekend prepping all the meals for the week, have a lot more spare time during the week, and enjoy life a lot more. Weight loss and energy is just a perk.

Before food prep...

One Month after food prep

Downsize Jeans last week!

TopBox Review - June 2016

This is the first month where there is no paper card insert advising of the products - they did send a sneak peak on the day it was shipped.  I find this makes it a LOT easier to research the products by just clicking the link vs typing it in.

Life is all about efficiency!

Spray ample amount onto desired area(s). Allow to absorb for approximately 3 to 5 seconds. Using your hand or minimally-abrasive washcloth, gently exfoliate in circular motion. Rinse with warm water (repeat if necessary) and moisturize accordingly. For best results, use 3 to 4 times weekly onto dry skin. Shake well before use.
56.7g  $49

Available at (USA) and/ (Canada)

This face peel is a cute spray bottle, to which a few spritzes on your face are enough to provide full coverage.

I normally use a Micellar water to cleanse my face before applying the spray, but this is not necessary.

Once sprayed on, I rub it in circular motions, particularly concentrating on my forehead and smile line areas.

There is little to no scent, and my skin feels quite smooth afterwards - not what you would expect a facial peel to feel like!

I leave it on for a few minutes while brushing my teeth, then rinse it off with warm water, pat dry, and apply my night cream.

My skin has not reacted badly or broken out while using this - and the small sample bottle will last me for quite awhile due to the minimal amount actually required!

I prefer this before bed, as I have way too many things to put on my face in the mornings.

At the price point though....I'd be hesitant at purchasing it - I have a variety of face masks that are about 1/5 of the cost that I adore already.

For a quick no-wash cleanse or an extra boost of volume, this dry shampoo leaves hair instantaneously soft and refreshed. Hold 10” away from the hair while spraying.

156mL  $29  Available at professional salons.

So, I have tried another brand of dry shampoo in the past, and it left my hair feeling so gross feeling afterwards that I had no choice but to wear it in a pony tail.

Amika does it right!

I spray my hair at the roots (about 8 spritzes to get full coverage), brush my hair out, and voila.

I can instantly wear my hair down, and it looks fresh, not greasy or oily.  It does not leave a white residue afterwards like other brands tend to.

The scent is nice and light, and makes me feel like my hair is clean.

I have been using this after working out or cycling, or after coming inside from doing yard work.  It is like it instantly absorbs all the sweaty grossness being outside has on my hair, and makes my hair look awesome!

I will definitely be investing in this once my sample size runs out.

After cleansing skin, unfold mask and gently place on face. Relax & remove mask after 15-20 minutes. Don’t rinse- let your skin absorb the essence by massaging skin. Use 1-2 times a week.

 Sheet for $8  $6 Pack for $36

Available at
So I love my face masks.

I saved Purlisse for a pre-bath pampering, and loved every minute of it!

The mask is easy to place and very pliable - it's about 1mm thick, but does not feel scratchy once pressed down onto your skin.

I felt a light cooling sensation while applying the mask, and the scent was divine!  I love light airy scents, and this fits the bill.

I did feel like my skin felt exfoliated and vibrant afterwards - much better than other masks I have tried in the past.

Unfortunately, the price point is quite high - I can get a full container of clay face mask for multiple uses from Lush for the same price as one of these one time use face masks.

Meh. I like body creams that rub on smoothly with little effort, yet keep my skin feeling moisturized.

This particular cream fails upon application.

It is a thick cream, and even when applying a small amount, it takes a lot of effort to rub it in - otherwise, it leaves white streaks.

It's ok at keeping my legs and arms feeling moisturized, but it is nothing special.  I have a more satisfying result from my normal body butter or coconut creams.

I suppose if you have skin sensitivities or allergies, this may be the right skin cream for you.

It's just not for me.
